Fancheng Sun

Undergraduate Research Assistant Co-op

Fancheng is currently a 3B science student. Though his major is not related to game and psychology, he has a great passion in games. He loves role playing games and storytelling heavy games. As a volunteer, he is working with Derrick now on his project on the emotional arcs resulting from game narratives and stories. He has worked in a lab environment and hopes he can help with the literature review and other report writing process. He has finished some CS classes in Waterloo, so he is hoping to learn game related programming as well.

The University of Waterloo is situated on the Haldimand Tract, the land promised to the Six Nations that includes six miles on each side of the Grand River. We wish to honour the ancestral guardians of this land and its waterways: the Anishinaabe, the Haudenosaunee Confederacy, the Wendat, and the Neutrals. Many Indigenous peoples continue to call this land home and act as its stewards, and this responsibility extends to all peoples, to share and care for this land for generations to come.
